Net proceeds are divided between two non-profit organizations, The Stonewall Community Foundation and FIPPOA Charitable Foundation – both of which regrant the monies towards two complementary causes: the LGBTQ Community in NYC & the Pines, and back into the Pines itself and the preservation and protection of its environment, ecology and shoreline.  
Foremost among the FIPPOA Charitable Foundation’s objectives is providing financial support for new initiatives and continuing activities to preserve the unique fragile environment and ecology of Fire Island, to build and operate Whyte Hall Community Center including medical facility, to enhance public areas and to preserve and protect the beach.  As part of its commitment, the Foundation will from time to time give grants to other charitable organizations whose purpose and activities are of intrest to the residents of the Pines.
