What should I bring to Pines Party?

  • Your ID/Driver’s License

Are there lockers or storage available?

There are no lockers on-site. We recommend bringing only essentials and packing light.

What’s the bag policy at the events?

No bags allowed at the events – only fanny packs or similar, small bags will be allowed. Bags will be subject to inspection by Pines Party security. There will be no bag or coat check so please make arrangements for storing your personal items. 

What’s the best way to stay hydrated during the event?

We provide water stations throughout the party as well as bottled water. Be sure to stay hydrated!

Are there food options available?

Yes, food vendors will be available at select events, and local restaurants in Fire Island Pines are open during the weekend. Check out Boys of Fire Island’s Plan Your Trip section to learn about where to eat, get groceries, etc.

Where should I stay during Pines Party?

Accommodations in Fire Island Pines are very limited, so we recommend booking early. Check out Boys of Fire Island for rental options and The Tryst Hotel in the Pines or Grove Hotel and The Belvedere in Cherry Grove. You can also look on Boys of Fire Island’s Facebook Group or AirBnB to find a room in a house.

How can I travel to Fire Island Pines?

The most common route is to take the train from NYC to Sayville, NY and connect to a ferry to Fire Island Pines. Plan your travel in advance and check ferry schedules at https://www.sayvilleferry.com/.

Are there phone charging stations?

Charging stations are not guaranteed at the events, so we recommend bringing a portable charger.

What is the best way to prepare for the weekend?

  • Get plenty of rest beforehand.

  • Stay hydrated leading up to the events.

  • Plan your outfits and pack essentials early.

  • Familiarize yourself with the event schedule and location.

What are some tips for navigating the Beach Party?

  • Arrive early.

  • Use landmarks to locate friends in the crowd.

  • Party responsibly.  

  • Look out for your friends and fellow attendees. If someone needs help or check-in, we got you. Find a staff member with a Pines Party shirt. 

What is the timeline of the events of Pines Party

  • Friday Evening: VIP Cocktail Reception @ Whyte Hall – Capture the attention of our VIP guests as we kick off Pines Party weekend in style. Our Friday night VIP Kick-Off Party features stylish decor and smooth vibes, with our major donors, cabana sponsors and other VIP guests sampling a curated selection of specialty cocktails and delicious passed hors d’oeuvres from Chef Michelle. Close out the evening with dessert and remarks from our chairperson. The festivities have begun!

  • Saturday Afternoon: Pool Party @ 236 Beach Hill Walk – The Saturday Pool Party is the weekend’s first event open to all general admission guests, offering sponsors the perfect opportunity to make a splash. With its high energy atmosphere, sun-drenched setting, and opportunities for both brand activations and premium giveaways, this event is a prime platform for brand visibility.

  • Saturday Night to Sunday Morning: Main Beach Party @ The Beach – The main of the weekend, the themed all night Beach Party on the shores of the Fire Island National Seashore is an event not to be missed. With internationally acclaimed DJ’s, mind blowing production, mid-party and sunrise entertainment, private cabanas, bleachers and VIP lounges, and much, much more, the beach party has become one of the most celebrated LGBTQ events in the world.

  • Sunday Morning: Lucid @ Pavilion – The sun has risen, but one doesn’t need to stop dancing. Dust off the sand and head to the Pavillion to enjoy the melodic beats of one of our featured DJs, who will ease you into the morning. Lucid closes with a sunlight reveal, a reminder that, yes it’s noon, and there is still more dancing ahead. Grab a bite, hydrate, and head to the Closing Party.

  • Sunday Afternoon to Evening: Closing Party @ 236 Beach Hill Walk – The ever more popular Closing Party concludes the weekend with an outdoor celebration of community and togetherness. While the night crescendos with an unparalleled dance party, the Closing Party offers guests the chance to socialize with friends and enjoy a stunning bayside pool. An ideal opportunity for brand partners to capture guests’ attention and foster meaningful engagement.

Where do I pick up my tickets and/or Weekend Passes when I arrive in the Pines? 

Wristbands are available for pick-up in the harbor on Pines Party weekend during the following hours: 

General Admissions & VIP/Cabana Ticket Holders:  

Friday, August 1: 12:00 – 6:00 pm  

Saturday, August 2: 12:00 – 5:00 pm  

Location: Outdoor Ticket Pickup & Lounge, 2nd Floor of the Pavilion  

Wristbands will also be available at the door of each event, but please save yourself time by picking them up in advance. Please note that the Beach Party “will call” closes promptly on Sunday, August 2 at 2:30 AM. There will be no admission after 2:30 AM without wristbands, so please arrange to pick up in advance. 

Any bracelet that has been lost cannot be replaced. In addition, any bracelets that have been removed, altered, or tampered with will need to be replaced with the original ticket holder present.
