This Privacy Policy explains how the Pines Party App (the “App”) handles information when you use it. We respect your privacy. We do not sell your personal data. Any data involved is used only to operate and improve the App and the Pines Party festival experience.

WHO WE ARE

The App is provided by Pines Party (“we,” “us,” or “our”), the organizers of Pines Party. You can contact us at privacy@pinesparty.com.

Information the App handles

• Location (optional, on your device). If you enable location tracking on the festival map, the App uses your device’s GPS to show your position on the map in real time. This location is processed on your device to render your position and is not collected or stored by us on a server. You can decline or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings, and the map will simply not show your live position.

• Preferences stored on your device. Your selected wristband tier, theme choice, and similar settings are saved locally on your device (using on-device storage) so the App can personalize your experience. This information stays on your device.

• Basic technical data. Like most apps, when the App loads content or checks for updates, the services it connects to (see below) may automatically receive standard technical information such as your device’s IP address, device type, and operating system version. We use such information only for internal purposes such as delivering content, maintaining security, and improving the App.

The App does not require you to create an account, and it does not include advertising networks or third-party analytics/tracking SDKs.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App relies on the following third-party services to provide certain features. When you use those features, your interactions are handled by the respective provider under their own privacy policies:

• GalaBid — powers the in-app silent/charity auction. When you view or place bids, you interact directly with GalaBid, and any information you provide there is governed by GalaBid’s privacy policy.

• Expo / EAS (Expo Application Services) — used to deliver the App and over-the-air updates. Expo may receive standard technical request data when the App checks for updates.

• Content delivery networks (e.g., Squarespace CDN) — used to load images such as artist and event artwork.

• SoundCloud and similar links — the App may link out to external streaming or social pages, which are operated by those third parties.

• Apple — the App is distributed via the Apple App Store, subject to Apple’s privacy policy.

We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

• To provide core features: schedule, map, DJ lineup, tier-based personalization, and the auction.

• To maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App.

• For our own internal operational purposes related to running the festival experience.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising or tracking.

DATA RETENTION

Information stored locally on your device (such as your preferences) remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. You can clear it by removing the App from your device.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The App is intended for a general adult festival audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

YOUR CHOICES

• You can allow or deny location access in iOS Settings at any time.

• You can reset local preferences by reinstalling the App.

• You may contact us with any privacy questions or requests at the address below.
  

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
